A Childhood That Looks Like This...
Imagine your child arriving each morning to a place where learning feels natural, joyful, and full of discovery.
They might begin the day singing songs with friends, listening to a favorite story, or creating something new during art time. Later, they might head outside to explore the playground, ride a bike, or visit the farm to see the animals.
Along the way, they are learning important skills—how to share, how to solve problems, how to express their ideas, and how to grow in confidence as learners.
Their weeks are filled with hands-on classroom activities like building with blocks, exploring water and sand tables, and practicing early reading and math skills. Many days include special moments on the farm—helping care for animals, riding a pony, or simply enjoying the wonder of the outdoors.
Throughout it all, caring teachers guide and encourage each child, helping them grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
At Real Life Nursery School in Canton, Michigan, childhood is filled with meaningful experiences that prepare children for school—and for life.
. . . because the best way for young children to learn is to experience real life.

A School that Feels Like Family.
We built our school on the foundational principle of Matthew 7:12, which says, "In everything, do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
That simple idea shapes how we care for the families in our school community. We strive to treat every child and every family the way we would want our own families to be treated—with kindness, respect, and genuine care.
Many of our teachers and families have been part of our community for years, creating a warm and welcoming environment where parents, staff, and children are truly known, valued, and loved.
Ms. Sara, Ms. Robin, and Farmer Aaron—the third generation of the Fraser family serving families through our school and farm—all chose to enroll our own children at Real Life Nursery School and Kindergarten. As parents ourselves, we wanted our children to experience the same caring teachers, strong curriculum, and joyful childhood memories that have been part of our school for generations.
At Real Life, our school is more than a place of learning—it’s a family. And we’re honored to welcome your family into that tradition.
Learning that Goes Beyond the Classroom
Located alongside Real Life Farm, our students have opportunities to experience the wonder of animals and nature throughout the year. These hands-on experiences make learning memorable and help children develop curiosity about the world around them.

Preparing Children for Lifelong Learning
Our programs focus on building strong academic foundations, social skills, and confidence. From early language development to our respected kindergarten readiness program, children gain the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
At Real Life Nursery School, we believe the early years should be filled with meaningful experiences that help children grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
